Yesterday’s poll has now been concluded and I would like to extend my gratitude to those who participated. The responses were varied and gave me what I needed for the feature. By the time I had to depart, yesterday, I already had a very good idea as to the direction of the feature and mulled it over during the course of the afternoon.
Again, thank you all very much. It was very appreciated and extremely helpful.

Currently, there's a poll on Mexican film being run; it's not open for long, and the results might be interesting to say the least.
All results are anonymous and will be used for an article (for lack of a better word) regarding Mexican film.

Chatting with a friend last night, she found the following, during a search:

Something quite random, to simply share. It hadn't been a picture I'd seen previously, and I believe it can be found at Diego Luna.net, in one of the image galleries there. It was found, in that format, in a random image search by my friend.
Enjoy!

Recent mention was made of the film Drama/Mex, supported by the production company that Gael and Diego have founded.
At that time, the film schedule hadn't been released. It's now available and tickets are on sale for this for anyone who might be in the area or able to attend.
The film will be screening on the following days and times:
September 13 2006 @ 8:45PM
September 15 2006 @ 2:45PM

An earlier entry, from
heat622, mentioned the production Drama/Mex by Diego and Gael.
From the Toronto Sun [August 01, 2006]:
Drama/Mex, which is about a suicidal middle-aged bureaucrat who gets caught up in the sexual dramatics of some wild young adults. Its executive producer is Mexican star actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
(Quoted from Señor Bernal fansite news.)
The official site for Drama/Mex is up and running.
The Toronto International Film Festival (currently in progress) has the film listed for a Vanguard showing. Unfortunately the Vanguard schedule hasn't been released so, it's uncertain as to whether it's been already shown or not.
It was also mentioned in a list issued by the Hollywood Reporter for films shown at Cannes. Unfortunately, there wasn't a review linked to it.
I hope that's helpful for anyone curious about the film and a good starting point if looking for further information about the film. There's not been much mention that I've seen of Diego's involvement aside from the entry by

SF30 has an interview with Guillermo Arriaga, whose recent work Babel is due to be released in cinemas approximately October for a limited release in the US and then national release in November.
There was mention of Diego - it's brief and only one, but the interview then moves on to speak about The Night Buffalo.
Relevant mention:
But long before he achieved an international rep as a screenwriter, Arriaga was a novelist, TV producer, and documentary maker. His 1999 novel "The Night Buffalo," about a cocky Mexico City youth's turmoil following a friend's suicide, has just been published in English in the U.S. (Arriaga produced the film adaptation, which stars Diego Luna and is in postproduction.) The tall, bearded writer made a local stop last month during his abbreviated book tour, and we spoke a few hours before he headed out to the Balboa to introduce a screening of "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada."

This was a piece of random news I came across, and only finally remembered to post here; not precisely about Diego, but there's a mention of him at the end.

I'm sure most everyone has seen the "O RLY" owls floating around on the internet, right? Well, in a fit of silliness, I made some Diego icons along the same lines.

I was checking the MTV article on Y Tu Mamá También, posted a few days ago (alas, I didn't get to watch the video), and came across an article for Criminal, called Diego Luna - 'Criminal Conviction.'
Everyone might've read it. If not? It's an enjoyable interview between Diego and MTV News' Vanessa White Wolf (who wrote the other interview, incidentally). As a heads' up? The article's a couple years old, from my understanding of Diego's age.

Conversing with
heat622 in a recent entry made me realise that perhaps, the links I do have? I should post to the community about rather than leave it in comments and hope that everyone sees it.
All I'm going to ask is that anyone who uses any of the icons or what not listed? Please give the proper credit to the person who's taken the time to make and share these graphics - it's only right to show them that respect.
For various reasons, I've traversed LJ in search of many things and came across
amortentia_ and saw she had a batch of icons for Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. My favourite is the one I'm using for this post - I just love his grin.
seewhoiam also has an nice wallpaper, for the same film, mentioned above.
And,
greeniefru has some Diego icons in this batch.
It doesn't seem like much, when I list it here like this, but I hope it's helpful for people. Have fun, comment and credit and enjoy!
